Your business vision for 2021

What will be your business intentions for 2021?

Will you take the time to revisit your business model and adapt for this new era?  Chances are there is not a business that existed in the last two years that hasn’t been impacted by both the pandemic and technology.  How has your business faired?  How will you respond to the new customer/client expectations?  How about your existing customers/clients – what do you need to reinforce those relationships?

For all the changes that have occurred, I believe that the basics are still what is most important.

Communication – maintaining continuing conversations with clients and employees; returning messages/emails in a timely fashion
Focus – on what your business does best and make it better!  If you are tired of your business and feel that you need a new channel, make sure that your current channel can withstand a lack of attention for a period of time; or find the right person to continue to operate that main channel while you look to develop the new course.
Planning – although 90 day planning seems to be a long time these days (remember when we did 5 year plans?!), continue with this quarterly approach for your goals, objectives and action plans.  Thinking through in advance will only make your more agile when new challenges or decisions need to be made.
Health – take care of your health and that of your employees.  Get enough rest, exercise and nutritional foods to keep your mind and body in top functioning order.  In addition to the CDC guidelines, what else can you do to support the health of your employees and customers?  What happens when we win the COVID19 war…will you go back to the way your work environment was in 2019?

What is your overall business intent? To make money, provide a needed service or product, to provide employment and skill development?

Recently I read  a John Hope Bryant book, Up from Nothing, which provided me with the overall intent that will become my mantra starting now – “do good and do well.”

With all you do in business or in life, this is a great, timeless message for all everyone; how about you, too?

  1. I am really enjoying the theme/design of your web site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A couple of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?

  2. Hello – thanks for the comment.
I am not a web master and rely on my web designer to make any technical adjustments. So far, I haven’t received any inquiries related to browser compatibilities.
